    3. Create the Perfect Whip: This is the most important step in the Japanese cleansing ritual. Add a few drops of water to the cleanser in your palm. Cupping your hand, use the fingertips of your other hand to whip the mixture in a vigorous circular motion, incorporating air as you go. Continue to add a few more drops of water and whip until you have a rich, dense, and bouncy foam that holds its shape like a marshmallow. For an even more luxurious lather, a Japanese foaming net (awa-net) can be used.
    4. Cleanse with the Foam: Gently apply the foam to your face, not the cream itself. The dense foam acts as a soft cushion between your fingers and your skin, which minimizes friction and irritation while allowing the micro-bubbles to do the cleaning. Massage the foam all over your face in gentle, circular motions.

    While Senka Perfect Whip contains hydrating ingredients like Double Hyaluronic Acid, it is most famous for providing a very deep, "squeaky clean" feel. For this reason, we primarily recommend it for those with normal, combination, and oily skin types. If you have very dry or sensitive skin, you might prefer the pink "Perfect Whip Collagen-In" version, which is formulated to be more moisturizing.

    Can this cleanser remove my makeup?
    It is very effective at removing light, non-waterproof makeup. However, to truly embrace the J-Beauty philosophy and ensure the most thorough cleanse, we highly recommend using it as the second step in a double-cleansing routine. First, use a cleansing oil or balm to completely melt away heavy makeup, waterproof mascara, and sunscreen, then follow with the Perfect Whip.

    I have heard this cleanser has a high pH. Is that a problem?
    Senka Perfect Whip does have an alkaline pH, which is what gives it such powerful cleansing abilities and that signature "squeaky clean" feeling. For many people with resilient, oily, or combination skin, this is not an issue, especially when you immediately follow up with a hydrating, pH-balancing toner. However, if your skin barrier is very compromised or extremely sensitive, you may prefer to use a cleanser with a lower pH.
